Mangroves @Kodia Madridejos Cebu

A mangrove is a shrub or small tree that grows in coastal saline or brackish water. The term is also used for tropical coastal vegetation consisting of such species.

One tree in particular spiked our enthusiasm by hosting colonies of sponges and corals between its webbed roots. The three of us sat, slapping left and right at various bites, engrossed in this one tree. I thought, as we canoed back, that we all secretly wished we could go on for a bit longer but the Caribbean sun was merciless.
